Jan 30 Tue “Pacific Powers”

This was composed as English homework. It was meant to be inspired by a gritty novel about a boy getting bullied in a boarding-school, but I started thinking of a different kind of school.

We swim as one in one pod,
sharing the journey with friends,
unity multiplying our strengths.
When hungry, just catch a cod.

Our journeys always bring pleasure.
As we cross the seas we relish
observing the multi-coloured fish
that live their lives at their leisure.

O the joy of the experience
of racing beside a ship or a boat
(not always staying afloat!)
enjoying what our life presents.

Our communication techniques are terrific.
Clicks and whistles warn others of threats -
our species have great etiquettes.
And so the pod survives,
and every member thrives.
Dolphins, the power of the Pacific!
