I saw two waxwings on a bush whilst I was in The Car. The birds were about the size of green-finches and were entirely one shade of brown (no spots or streaks etc.) apart from colourful patches on the wings which I didn’t see. The waxwings also had a crest each. I didn’t take a photo of the birds because I hadn’t my camera at the time, and The Car was travelling at too fast a speed to facilitate photography in the split-second after I realised that the birds were waxwings.

I was, and am, very pleased to see the waxwings. The waxwing is another addition to my Index of Birds I’ve Sensed (IBIS).
